Integration

Sometimes things I read, see, hear, etc. come at such a time and in such an order I am helped to see some part of life more clearly and sometimes it happens to be what is the foundation of life and living. MMV calls it synchronicity, serendipity, and synthesis. Whatever you call it, it's about living a life of integrity. What and how you think informs how you live and how you live informs what and how you think.

Via Scotty Smith:

"Christian maturing is a process in which the most fundamental layer of our identity becomes our self-understanding as a new creature in Christ, along with all our privileges in him." Tim Keller

Via Half-Pint House:
When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of Glory died;
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
save in the death of Christ, my God;
all the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to his blood.

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were an offering far too small;
love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.
