What if we don't label anything to do with
human persons or relationships with the ubiquitous "toxic"?
"toxic relationship" "toxic person" even "toxic
behavior" For one thing it's awfully vague. More importantly we are labeling a human created in the image of
God. A human who is created with the capacity and agency to change. When
something is toxic, be it plant, mineral, or element, it *cannot* change. The
toxicity is inherent, and therefore unchangeable, part of that substance. That
in no way describes any human. More tomorrow.
